Intensive Introduction to Cranio-Sacral Therapy for Animal Chiropractors

Cranio-sacral therapy is a very light-touch manual technique used to evaluate the body through listening to the tissues and invite them to change and heal themselves.  It can be used to treat the physical body (subluxations, tensions in cranial sutures, facial tensions on the different body diaphragms, visceral tensions…) as well as the emotional self through somato-emotional release. This course teaches you diagnostic and therapeutic tools to do a full cranio-sacral therapy treatment and also to use the various techniques in combination with chiropractic.

We will practise on each other because it is important to feel within your own body how gentle and powerful cranio-sacral techniques are. This experience helps you better understand their impact on your animal patients. More than half the course consists of guided “hands-on” practical learning!

Course Topics: Modules I, II, and III

Introduction to Cranio-Sacral-Therapy: Module I

Course Topics Include:

• Foundations of CST
• Diagnostic Scans from the Intention
• Therapeutic Dialogue with Body Structures
• Learning to palpate the Cranio-Sacral Rhythm and the Stillness of the Rhythm
• Still Point Technique and Spontaneous Stillness
• Dural Tube Technique: diagnostic and treatment of spinal subluxations from the CST point of view

Cranio-Sacral Therapy: Working with the Fascial System from the CST point of view — Module II

Course Topics Include:

• Working on the 5 main diaphragmas of the body
• Diaphragma technique to treat extremity subluxations
• Fascial Diagnosis from the CST point of view
• Following up the treatment through the Fascial Loading Technique
• Protocols to combine techniques from Modules I and II.

Cranio-Sacral Therapy: Cranial Techniques and SBS lesions — Module III

Course topics include:

• Learning to palpate the movement of the cranial bones
• Neuro-craneum techniques
• Viscero-craneum techniques
• Learning the theory and palpation of the SBS lesions and its influence on whole body biomechanics
• Protocols to apply CST combining techniques of Modules I, II, and III
