About the IAVC

Over 20 years of experience teaching veterinary chiropractic.

We are a postgraduate veterinary chiropractic training program designed specifically for veterinarians and chiropractors. The IAVC program connects an on-line learning platform knowledge base with skills-oriented practical sessions.

So much more than just chiropractic techniques, each unique course teaches practical clinical reasoning for qualified professionals and students of the two professions. Integration of evidence-based chiropractic principles and philosophy with practical veterinary medicine is what the IAVC has been doing for over two decades.

The founding

Pioneers in veterinary chiropractic education in Europe since 2003.

Founded in 2003 by doctors of veterinary medicine Sybil and Donald Moffatt, the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic (IAVC) was created to provide high-quality education in animal chiropractic for veterinarians and chiropractors. Built on a foundation of clinical experience, modern chiropractic principles, and holistic animal care, the IAVC has grown into an internationally recognised programme offering hands-on, evidence-based training for companion animals and horses. Today, the IAVC leads the profession by continuing to provide veterinary chiropractic education through innovative and clinically relevant learning programmes.

Teaching philosophy

Where theory meets practical application.

At the IAVC, we teach animal chiropractic through extensive theory and practical workshops from day one.

Professional standard

International training with professional responsibility.

Veterinary Chiropractic belongs in the hands of professionals. Courses discuss and maintain an emphasis on ethics, legalities and regulatory responsibilities as they apply to practitioners of both professions.

Learning together

Training is designed for qualified veterinary and chiropractic professionals, as well as students of recognized programs.

Regulatory responsibility

IAVC training is not a substitute for national veterinary licensing; practitioners remain responsible for the rules in their own country.

International context

Participants and instructors come from a truly global community, testifying to the rapid growth of veterinary chiropractic worldwide.

International instructors

The people behind IAVC training.

Founder-led and internationally taught, IAVC training is shaped by veterinarians, chiropractors, and clinical educators who maintain active work with dogs and horses.
