The Canine 10-Step Myofascial Procedure provides you with an integrative treatment protocol which can greatly enhance the chiropractic treatment of dogs with musculoskeletal issues.

What this seminar covers

Myofascial treatment techniques focus on four important interrelated therapeutic goals:

  • Restore and optimise (connective tissue) motion
  • Pain relief
  • Reduce the tone of the sympathetic nerve system
  • Activate the immune system

In this course 10 therapeutic techniques will be explained step by step and afterwards practiced on dogs. Effective integration of these techniques with chiropractic will also be explained.

Meet the instructor

Dr. Silke Meermann

Dr. Silke Meermann integrates chiropractic, osteopathy, physiotherapy and rehabilitation in her companion-animal practice.

Dr. Silke Meermann graduated in 2002 from veterinary medicine. She completed her doctorate on behavioral issues in Border Collies and Australian Shepherds. In 2005 she successfully completed her certified training at the EAVC (now International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic) in Sittensen and is a member of the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA).

Dr. Silke Meermann has also completed additional education in Structural Canine Osteopathy (SCO) and Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in small animals in 2008. She established her own practice in 2008, where she integrates her qualification in chiropractic, osteopathy and physiotherapy providing rehabilitation for companion animals.
