What this seminar covers

Veterinary Therapeutic Taping — a journey through sense and nonsense, evidence, and the most effective taping techniques in veterinary medicine. The fundamental concepts and advanced applications of the Taping Method for our animal patients will be discussed. Clinical applications: Stimulate proprioception, improve muscle work, release fascia, and decrease pain and swelling.

This is combined with workshops where attendees will practise the different techniques and applications on each other and, of course, on dogs and horses as well.

Meet the instructor

Ilka Brummenbaum

Veterinarian and certified animal chiropractor dedicated to integrative care and education.

Ilka Brummenbaum studied veterinary medicine at Justus Liebig University in Giessen from 1997 to 2002 and gained experience across several specialised fields. In 2006 she completed her animal chiropractic training at IAVC and founded her veterinary and animal chiropractic practice in Siegburg, Germany. In addition to general veterinary medicine, her clinical focus includes canine and equine dentistry and acupuncture. As a long-time IAVC instructor, Ilka brings extensive clinical experience and also teaches her own course in animal kinesiotaping.
