Prof. Holger A. Volk

Holger A. Volk is Director of the Clinic for Small Animals at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover and a European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology.

His research interests include epilepsy, neuropathic pain, syringomyelia, cognition and animal behaviour, and clinical problem-oriented reasoning.

Dr. Silke Meermann

Dr. Silke Meermann integrates chiropractic, osteopathy, physiotherapy and rehabilitation in her companion-animal practice.

Dr. Silke Meermann graduated in 2002 from veterinary medicine. She completed her doctorate on behavioral issues in Border Collies and Australian Shepherds. In 2005 she successfully completed her certified training at the EAVC (now International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic) in Sittensen and is a member of the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA).

Dr. Silke Meermann has also completed additional education in Structural Canine Osteopathy (SCO) and Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in small animals in 2008. She established her own practice in 2008, where she integrates her qualification in chiropractic, osteopathy and physiotherapy providing rehabilitation for companion animals.

Jacob Andersen, DVM

Danish veterinarian and board-certified canine rehabilitation specialist with a small-animal rehabilitation centre in Lystrup.

Jacob Andersen graduated in 2001 from the Royal Danish Veterinary School in Copenhagen and began his clinical career in 2004 at a small-animal hospital, where his interest in canine rehabilitation quickly developed. He completed the IAVC Essentials Course in 2006 and has since expanded his work in rehabilitation alongside traditional veterinary medicine. In 2010 he founded a small-animal rehabilitation centre in Lystrup, Denmark. A board-certified canine rehabilitation specialist, he has been an IAVC instructor since 2008 and is recognised for his practical, engaging teaching style.

Dr. Sybil Moffatt

Veterinarian, international animal chiropractic educator, and co-founder of IAVC.

Dr. Sybil Moffatt graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover in 1992 and completed postgraduate studies at the Equine Research Centre in Guelph, Canada. She became certified in animal chiropractic through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association in 1996. Since 1999, Drs. Moffatt have founded and practised exclusively animal chiropractic in Northern Germany, with additional expertise in acupuncture and canine rehabilitation. She is a founding member and former board member of the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association, a founding partner of IAVC, and has lectured worldwide on veterinary chiropractic for more than two decades.
